General information about the lab

This lab is primarily a teaching lab and is used for conducting hands-on practical sessions of various lab courses of B.E. (COE) program namely Introduction to Programming, Data Structures, Operating Systems, Computer Networks, Compilers etc.

All the computers are dual boot with Ubuntu and Windows. These computers are connected to 100 Mbps LAN and students are allowed to use their laptops to access network resources through wi-fi. Apart from teaching classes, students may use this lab for Internet surfing, Mailing, accessing institute’s subscribed research journals and other related academic activities.

This lab is also used to provide facilities for the institute events like various competitions of technical festival, placement activities, online exams and other important happenings.

This lab hosts a Web server of the COE Department. Students willing to host their homepage on this server may contact the lab technical staff / Faculty In-Charge.

The Lab consists of state of the art computers and printers and is located at Room No. 116, Block V. The Lab is used by the under graduate and post graduate students for the laboratory work supporting courses on Object Oriented Analysis and Design, Object Oriented Programming lab and the projects. The Lab consists of software for compilers like small talk and Rational Rose software to support courses on Object Oriented Software Engineering. The Lab has also internet facility for the students.

The Lab consists of state of the art computers and printers and is located at Room No. 119,Block V. The Lab is used by the under graduate and post graduate students for the laboratory work supporting courses on system analysis and design, software engineering, Programming lab and the projects. The Lab consists of software for compilers and MetaEdit software to support courses on metamodeling. The Lab also provides internet facility to the students

The lab is used for project work as well as for practical classes for UG students. LAN with internet facility is available on all PCs for students of UG/PG. The lab is also used for online test conducted by various organisations for campus recruitment of B.E./M.Tech. students of NSIT.

Networking Lab Computer Engineering Division give its students an opportunity to apply the theoretical Knowledge for finding solutions of challenging practical problems. The lab is used for research, projects and network programming related problems.

General information about the lab
Distributed Computing Lab of Computer Engineering Division give its students an opportunity to apply the theoretical Knowledge for finding solutions of challenging practical problems. Students may set clusters for distributed computing. Generally the lab is used for programming, Algorithms and Internet programming and project/ research work.

The Database Lab has been established in the COE Dept primarily to impart the practical knowledge and provide clear insight to the students of B.E. with the core concepts of the Database Management System along with fundamentals through daily assignments, short term projects and solving of impromptu practical problems given in the Lab. Alongwith with this, the lab is also used to conduct practical classes for courses like Introduction to Programming, Data Structures etc.

The Advanced computer Architecture Lab (ACA) has excellent laboratory infrastructural facilities.The ACA Lab is fully air-conditioned which is artistically and ergonomically designed, where students get an opportunity to develop their skills according to the global needs and international standards.The LAB has best setup comprise of different Operating systems computer machines.The lab is too having 10 KVA UPS facility which ensures uninterrupted services to the students. Computer labs has faster internet access facility for providing the students with greater opportunities to hone their particular talents and knowledge- skills, helping them to remain updated on emerging trends and technologies. Computing Laboratory facilities are utilized for the conductance of VHDLand CSO Programming, Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures and Algorithm Development etc., Microprocessor kits also available for programming.
